Caring for Rose Anemones the right way

Pooping or expelling waste in Roses

Roses need to expel waste products and this is what it usually looks like. They will do it every few days but most of the time you won't see it as it will be eaten by your clean up crew.

Depending on what they have eaten, the color may be darker or lighter than seen here.

Food and waste go in and come out the same place.
Some people remove it from their tank but I have yet to see it floating around in the water column or laying
on the sand.
So I have no reason to go hunting for it.

And another  picture of my two mouth Anemone defecating. Ok, Pooping.

It was bleached when I rescued her but regained her color soon after.

You can't see it but behind the large piece of poop the mouth behind is also pooping.
Strange critters they are.

It has only been feed Silversides but it comes out as black.
 

Another picture I snapped recently of an Anemone pooping.

As you can see by it's color, it looks just like the Silverside when it went in.

But it is all ground up and just the scales and some other pieces are coming out.

It is not as big as the picture looks. So don't want it to be deceiving.

This was an Anemone that was slightly bleached from living in a not so nice Fish store.

But it has since recovered.

Not that I look at poop a lot
