Meet my little Sugar Gliders
Mickey and Mini.
New Joey is born!!!
Happy Birthday Valentine
As of today 2-14-08 they are proud parents
of a gorgeous baby that just left the pouch.
It is their first and we are all excited (them and I)
to have him/her.
I found that he/she left the pouch just a few hours ago
and mom and dad were out for their dinner, and I saw
that Mini's pouch was now empty, so I quickly took the
pouch that they live in out of their cage and
took the beautiful baby out to look at it and
take pictures.
It is the first time I have seen it as it has been
in the pouch since today.(Moms pouch)
Anyway, my excitement makes me ramble.
Here he/she is.
Eyes still closed and will continue to go to the pouch
for warmth, comfort and nurse for awhile yet.
Enjoy the pics as much as I have.
Happy OOP (out of pouch) Birthday "Valentine"
( If it turns out to be a Male, I will be looking for the perfect
home for him.)
If it is a girl, she has a half blind older male that needs a buddy
and will remain with him.
It's a Girl, yeaaaa!!!
Now Newbie will have a
buddie after 6 years
of being alone.

Here is their home, it is 6 feet tall and 4 foot square.
Some of their toys and lounging beds
Having fun enjoying their new hammock

Just an update on them.
They are just a delight to have around and sure
keep me busy keeping them entertained and well fed.
They are night creatures and so are up all night
playing with their toys and eating.
I have several wheels in the cage for their enjoyment
and to keep their shapely figures.
Altho since I found Mini to be with glider, I have
been adding more mealworms to their diet
and so they have become rather chunky .
But they are loads of fun to have.
We have tent time several times a week, where
I have the tent set up in the fish room and they
are allowed to play, climb and run across the floor
of it, with new toys and things to do for their
enjoyment.
Here is their tent.
It is a pop up tent, no poles to put up or take down
and they love it.
Here is one of my favorite pictures of Mickey and Mini
enjoying the moment.
And another favorite of mine.
Mini eating a Yoggie.
This little fellow is Newbie ( below). He is 6+ years old and
blind in one eye but just the sweetest little man.
I rescued him from a woman that kept him
in a hamster cage for all of his life.
He was filthy dirty, had a huge gash under his right eye
which I had the vet fix as soon as I got him home.
He was so dirty from living in such a small
cage that was never cleaned it appears that he
stunk and so he had a nice bath with a warm
washcloth the day I brought him home.
He now lives in his own home, with clean pouches to
sleep and play in.
All the meal worms he can eat. Plenty of fruits and
veggies, and home made foods for him.
This was him the first week I had him and just
after his eye surgery.
This was probably the first grape he has every had
as he grabbed it up like he was starving, which he
was I think, the food that came with him and his junk
cage was hamster food, which of course is not their
diet in the wild.
Fruits , vegetables and bugs are their diet which
he gets now.
And recent picture of my cutie pie eating all the
meal worms he wants.
Here is his blind eye, from living in a hamster cage with wire to keep it closed,
he punctured it on the wire, thus causing his blindness.
But he does just fine without the use of it thank goodness.
In the picture below, he is hanging upside down from his home
eating a meal worm.
God bless you my sweethearts.Another Update.
Valentine has grown into a beautiful girl and is a fabulous
pet, she loves to run and climb then glide down from any high
place she can get up to.
Here she is eating a yogie on the sofa while I watch tv.
Another Update.
2 more female Joey's are about to leave the nest
from Mickey and mini.
They are so fun to play with but are still a bit
shy with handling. So I try to handle them daily.
And here is Mom carrying around one of her
Joey's on her back while she eats her mealworms.
These twins are for sale to the right home
for $125.00 each or both for $225.00
They are almost tamed and will be ready for their
new homes soon.
