Steve I{{Karen Hair/Author of the poem}win
Back when so many of us were little
there was a boy born that would makes all of us giggle

He was a hoot when he was such a young man
always looking for an animal in need of a hand
He would catch what he could, jumping and joking
but would always catch what was in need of a stroking

He grew up among them and love them so much
and one day decided that a zoo was the right touch
So down under he started the little zoo with critters
that he found fascinating but were great biters.

He loved them all big or small
and gave them a home where they would all have a ball.

He grew up and married a beautiful young lady
her name is Terri and she loved the young Laddy.

It was love at first sight or so they say
and got married and their lives were well on it's way
To becoming a pair but one of a kind
they love all animals each and every kind.
But Steve's love for the Crocks is what got her hooked
that and the blond man's handsome good looks.
They traveled the world and saw many things
that gave their hearts a reason to sing.
They brought many home to the little zoo of theirs
and cared for and loved them with their hearts full of cares.
They made Bindy, the little girl that caught my heart one day
she is just like her daddy all wide eyed and gay.
To see her is to make the heart smile ,but to see Steve and his
daughter together
makes for the most precious picture of all.
Then along came Bob the little boy of their dreams they say
he was put in a position that would cause some to pray

But daddy knew what he was doing and would never cause harm
to anything he loved and Bob was always wrapped in his arms.
One day in the fun of the underwater life
his life would come to an end and he would leave a loving wife.
His two children will grow up without a man
that changed the world for the better with the love in his kind hands.
He caressed all of the animals as if he just knew
that they loved him in ways that only he knew.
They needed his help, his love and attention
to carry on their lives in a place that would keep them,
happy and safe and out of harms way
and they live their lives in the little zoo and Steve's
love would keep them just that way.
He lived life to the fullest and one day they say.
He will lose his life to a Croc we just knew one day.
But he knew how to handle them as he did with all of life, to live
it to the fullest and trust in his wife, to have his back if the
need should arise
and she did with gusto hang on for the ride.
But one day while diving his life was cut short
By one of the animals that he loved the most
A
The Stingray you see that thought he was in a bind, when a man
would get too close he would defend with his behind
he would fire up his barb and cause indescribable pain
to the man we all loved and always wondered if he was sane.
It took his life that day, doing what he loved.
Swimming with the stingrays with the blue sky above.
He has gone to heaven where God will cradle him in His arms
being happy to have him to tend to all of His animals on God's farms
For you see not only are there animals here on Earth with us
but the ones that have passed before them are in need of a man that was A-plus
who will love them and hug them and show them the new world.
that God has created for them up there in the skies unfurled.
Their new life with God is said to be calm, running free in the woods
and darting in the voids, where God keeps His critters in water you see
is where Steve loved to swim with the creatures of the Sea.
His passing is only a temporary thing , because one day we will all see him and say ,
Criky man , we sure missed ya , seeing you swimming with the creatures of the Sea.
We miss you already Steve but know you are now
having fun with the crocs
and we want you to know that we all think you rock.

Rest easy Steve. You made us all better people.

I found this addorable fishtank sign the other day and just had
to have it. I usually don't like this sort of thing in SW tanks but
I just couldn't resist.
And as you can see. Neither could one of my yellow Tangs.
