Caring for Rose Anemones the right way

BTA Rose Anemone

We Aren't all beautiful

This adorable Anemone has very special Tentacles.
She is one half of the two mouth Anemone split and has always
been this way and so I thought I would share her with you.
She eats great, 2 Silversides a week.
But closes up strangely, sometimes expelling  water from just half
of her body, making her look  like she has been squeezed in her middle.
Other times she has only half of her body expelled and looks really odd.
When she is half expelled she is a green color where there is no water.
Some of her tentacles are very strange, and are huge, twice the size of an average
thumb around.
Some of the tips are broken over on some of them, and she has nubs like fingers
on some of them also.
A very strange looking gal but a joy to have.
She lives down front and center in the tank and is about 16 inches across when fully open
which is all day usually.

Take a look and hope you enjoy seeing the other side of beauty.
Well, to me she is beautiful.
Here are some pictures of her half closed up.
Half closed on the left.

Above shows her surroundings.

Closed up on top and bottom, middle only

One of my favorites with her clowns hovering.

What a pretty mouth you have she is saying.

Another of the strange tentacles, The actinic light is off.

Closeup of some of her strange tentacles

And another closeup of some of the bigger tentacles

Another of her tentacles

And this one is very strange

The clowns love her anyway

A full tank view, she is center stage right in the middle and is around 16 inches across when fully open.
This is my 125 gallon tank and is 2 years old.
It houses 17 BTA's

I hope you enjoyed seeing her, she is not like any other I have ever seen and is the most beautiful
Anemone in the tank.
Always open, always happy and  loves hosting my Clowns when they are in the area.
