My 125 gallon tank.
This is the largest tank I have ever had and love it.
It is my dream tank and when I moved to my new home I new it was the next step
for my saltwater hobby.
It was set up on 1-25-06 using live rock, new Southdown sand seeded from my other tanks
and water from my other 4 tanks to get it started.
It cycled very little that way and was ready for the fish from day one.
I did lose 2 damsels( not much loss but a loss just the same) a few weeks after setting up the tank
but all of the rest of the fish are doing great and as you can see by the new page about the True Perculas spawning
in this tank, all is well.
I have an AquaClear 500 on it for filtration but believe in a lot of live rock, live sand and filter feeders to take
care of the cleaning in the tanks I have.
I scrape the glass daily to get the pretty bright green algae off the glass as my tanks have high nutrients in them
because I feed heavily.
I bought a new 72" Orbit fixture with VHO bulbs and moon light for this tank and its the first time I have had
the moonlights and love them.
I sit after lights out and everything has gone to sleep to see what's scurrying around in the tank.
It is amazing the amount of little pods , worms etc that come out after dark.
They are all a must for a stable tank I have always believed.
I have Bristle worms in all of my tanks and also believe they are a must for part of the cleanup crew as they are
scavengers and will clean up most anything that falls to the bottom.
I have never had them eat anything else in my tanks.
( I do not have bristleworms in my 125 tank however)
I have 25 blue legs hermits and around 30 snails in the tank also for cleanup.
One thing I do have in every tank that I have is cleaner shrimp, they are great for eating Mysis shrimp
that missed the fishes mouths and drops to the bottom of the tank.
I feel they are important for all of my tanks.
They also keep my fish free from parasites so they are a multi task animal.
I do not keep any hard corals, don't like them. Only soft so no need for dosing in my tanks.
I add nothing to them.
Water changes are done when I get around to it.
Usually ever few months I do a 20% water change.
I use RO water for top off and I keep 55 gallons at the ready on the front porch.
Now for the pictures of my new baby....................
The start (and now the finished product on 10-27-06)
This picture is the newest of the tank, taken 7-10-2009
And a closeup of some of the shrooms I added from my 75 gallon.
And one of my Anemones.
There are a total of 19 Anemones in this tank.
More new pictures taken 7-10-2009
Above, mother Rose and 2 of her offspring. They are on the glass.
Above is a bud from one of the other Anemones. She is only the size of a quarter.
Just some of the shroom rocks I have moved from my 75 to the 125.
I moved about 20 large rock covered in frilly and plain green zoos to the large tank because
of the lack of room in the 125. And also to keep the Dragon Wrasse from digging in the sand in
the front of the tank.
Below I moved this rock covered in Green Shrooms above the Anemone.
Here is a picture of the sitting room that it is in.
Some older pictures of things in the tank. Some have been sold to make room for
The Anemones. Most pics taken in 2006 below.

Below is one of two Anemones that I have added to this tank recently ,
2007 and they are doing very well, and are in the bottom front left of the tank now.

Flower Anemone below

My first attempt at fraging and it turned out real nice, I fraged
four pieces off of my mother colony of Leathers and all are doing well,
one turned into a heart shape below.

My beautiful female True Percula, this picture was taken on 3-5-06

Xenia Frag started from my 75 gallon tank. Doing well and growing new babies.

I will add new pictures as the tank grows out. Hope you enjoy seeing it
as much as I have enjoyed sharing it with you.
Updated pictures below. 125 on September of 06
Amazing how things have grown and filled in.

There is so much more in the tank but I don't want to bore you with it all, but you get the idea.
Updated 125 picture. It now contains 14 BTA's. All splits. Two LTA's that are in the bottom Left front corner and one Green flower Anemone but it stays hidden.

And the new fish.

Yup, all of the fish in the picture are new. As are the shaving brush plants.
Funny that the fish are staying together, guess they got to know each other since their
bags where next to each other in the shipping box.
2 of the striped fish are out of view.

Beautiful Anthias, to bad they only allowed one per customer. I would have bought several.
